Meet Our Herd

Pete

Born in 2013, Pete is a mustang/morgan cross who was adopted from a rescue. He is our class clown, the keeper of the peace, and serves as Magpie’s “emotional support horse.” He is patient and kind for all his therapeutic riding clients and grounded mindfulness work.

PHOEBE

Born in 2001, Phoebe is a quarter horse who was adopted from a rescue, and is one of our most reliable horses. We always know Spring is in the air when she starts to shed “Phoebe waffles.” She and Pete are the best of friends.

LOLA

Born in 2002, Lola is a Kiger mustang who was donated by a friend of Brady. She enjoys target training (or rather the treats she gets during target training) and is our go to for most small new riders. Lola is solid and steady and loves her turnouts with the other horses even though she gets bossed around by Magpie and Phoebe.

MAGPIE

Born in 2014, Magpie is a quarter horse who was adopted from a rescue. She loves her job carrying some of our larger riders. She has a very large step that allows for a smooth, comfortable ride. While she loves to spend her off time in the turnouts with the other horses, she makes it clear who’s boss.

TOBY & TALLULAH

Born in 2014, Toby and Tallulah are Shetland ponies (Toby is a dwarf Shetland) who were adopted from a rescue. Both ponies were uncomfortable with human contact when they first arrived but, after lots of love and training, are now the focus of our R.E.A.P. program and love the stories and learning activities with the children. Toby thinks he is the boss of everyone! Tallulah tolerates him.

In Memoriam

In Loving Memory of Honey

1991 - 2024

Our 33 y.o. matriarch and retired polo pony loved her second career teaching children to ride. In her semi-retirement years, she lent her services to our ground work programs. While famously cantankerous, she let the most patient among us see her warm heart of gold. Thank you, Honey, for your guidance and strength. We love you. Always.
