Riding a horse before she could walk and volunteering since she was 12, Sarah knows well the awesome and dynamic force of health to mind, spirit and body horses can be. With a strong background in music, creative writing, customer service, event planning and charity, Sarah has dedicated herself to the work and virtues of this Program.
Hugh Meakin

Born in England, a Harrow School alumnus, graduated University at Trinity College Dublin, Hugh made San Francisco his home in 1971 and married the love of his life, Melba, with whom he co-founded the Brady Therapeutic Riding Program in 1987. During the 1980’s into the early 2000’s, Hugh and Melba produced and coordinated equestrian events: Grand Prix show jumping and the annual Polo in the Park events in Golden Gate Park Polo Fields.
Michele Tobin

Michele is accomplished equestrian, bringing more than 40 years of riding experience to Brady. Showing hunter jumpers and equitation since age 4, Michele was competing on the NorCal circuit a few years ago before deciding to combine her love of riding and her love of children by volunteering at Brady. Michele was introduced to Brady volunteering with her son through Service Corp. Michele loves working with Sarah and Phil and helping the horses improve and further develop their skills as well as teach.
JANE PAOLUCCI

Jane is a Bay Area local, career marketer and avid volunteer. Introduced through Service Corp., Jane can be seen side by side with her sons; sleeves rolled up helping with the horses, grounds and participants. Easily hooked on the program and its impact, Jane brings organizational focus, creativity, communications and a passion for helping others to Brady.
LAURA HILGART
STAFF VOLUNTEER
Laura Hilgart started riding very early in life and loves helping our clients experience that joy of connecting with horses. She started volunteering for Brady in 2016 and loves the community the Meakins have built of parents, volunteers, ponies and students.
